Making a Sound on Your Flute
If you haven't already put together your flute, you will have to do that first. If your flute is already pieced correctly, great! Now you are ready to make a sound. Doing this correctly is going to be the key. Blow across, not into, the hole, like you are blowing into the straw of your drink. If this is not working, try to roll your wrists back and forth (move the flute so that the hole is closer to your mouth, or move the hole further away from your mouth). Still not working? Look in the mirror, and try again. If you are getting frustrated and can't make a sound out of your flute, you should probably get help from someone in person. If you can barely make a sound, that is okay.
